Role: Mainframe Developer

Location: Louisville KY

Duration:: Six months to one year

Rate : Open

 

Visa : US Citizens ONLY (Security Required)

 

Seeking 2 mainframe developers with batch COBOL and DB2 experience.

Work will primarily involve interface development for claims systems.

 

This person will design, develop, troubleshoot, debug, and implement software code to support new or existing MAINFRAME (COBOL) applications. 

They will also provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity, and will contribute to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects.

 

Education and General Experience:

Bachelor's degree and 5 years current experience with mainframe programming, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

COBOL and DB2 experience is required. 

 

"• Ability to perform maintenance to existing programs and develops new programs using COBOL, CICS, and DB2. 

• Extensive current experience with CICS, including web-enabled features, and the ability to use testing tools such as Platinum and, Expediter to troubleshoot problems.

• Experience with interfacing with customers to define system requirements and priorities.

• Ability to analyze and resolve production online and batch problems.

• Ability to lead or support business studies and feasibility studies.
