Role: Quality Assurance Tester

Location: Edina, MN

Duration: long term

 

 Note:

Candidate MUST be local to Minnesota, and needs to have worked in a Marketing or Advertising Agency OR a Software as a Service (SaaS) company

 

 Position Required Experience

·         3-5 years relevant Quality Assurance technical experience

·         Thorough understanding of the QA process, test cases, test plans, bug/defect reports

·         Previous work in agile environment and SAAS technology

·         Understanding of web based technologies. Job will require interacting with programmers about these technologies, so this person should be able to speak to them.

·         Possess a good understanding of various aspects of software architecture, design and various hardware infrastructures.

·         Ability to reinforce good process, while remaining flexible to the realities of working in an agency model

·         Diverse QA experience with exposure to different types of software

 

Position Responsibilities & Duties

·         Help validate that web sites, applications and systems meet design specifications and requirements

·         Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of deliverables.

·         Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test plan.

·         In those cases where specifications are not complete, identify undocumented components and validate functionality.

·         Identify any defects or quality issues and escalate issues appropriately to management.

·         Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes.

·         Work closely with QA, programmers, delivery coordinator and project managers to ensure quality deliverables

·         Verify client reported issues and assist development with troubleshooting efforts.

·         Help organize reported bugs and changes within tracking system

·         Create test summary reports at the end of each test run.
